Currently working as a FPQA for Sony, so game tester if you wanna call it that but the other sounds more fancy, hehe.
Wont be able to check stuff here even less now, so if I take a while to reply I'm sorry. Will do so when I can, most likely over the weekend.

As for your question I guess it depends on how a person is raised and their life experiences. I myself try to avoid lies since it seems to me like they just lead to trouble. Everyone is different, some for the better, some for the worst, is the reason life is worth living in my opinion. The fact of not knowing what you'll get.
